– You gotta get on TikTok!

– You gotta get on Clubhouse!

– You gotta start a podcast!

– You gotta do video!

– You gotta get on LinkedIn Content Creator!

– You gotta!!!!

STOP! ๐Ÿ›‘

Collaborate and Listenโ€ฆ

If something seems like you just โ€˜gottaโ€™ do it, ask yourself this:

Does it move me towards my goal or is it distracting?

Thatโ€™s the best test (in my view) to determine if you โ€˜gottaโ€™ join into something.

Hereโ€™s a bonus question to ask:

Does involving myself in whatever show me to be a leader in my field or simply another follower?

– Do your work.

– Do it really well.

– Do it consistently.

– Tune out the noise.

Do those things and your reputation will speak louder than your follower count or likes.

Itโ€™s the thing you really gotta do.

Once you’ve got your career house in order, then consider adding those bells and whistles

Note for my non-native English speaking friends, โ€˜gottaโ€™ is a slang term that means โ€˜have toโ€™ (shorten from โ€˜got toโ€™)
