People often comment on how fast I become connected when doing business in a new city or new industry. Since it rarely takes me long to build connections when I move to a new city, you could assume it’s all because of my dazzling personality. While I’m certain that’s the case, there’s more to it than that. In 2005, as part of an office book club, I read Never Eat Alone by Keith Ferrazzi & it changed how I connected with people. While some of the information may seem prehistoric (as in before social media), all of the philosophies and tips still matter today. In fact, it’s still mentioned in major blogs and websites today such as the recent article posted by Art of Manliness (I LOVE this site-check it out AFTER you done reading this!) Simply put, it’s likely the most impactful business book I’ve ever read. What I mean by that is that it immediately impacted my life and continues to impact my life 8 years later.
So today’s friday follow up tip: download Never Eat Alone TODAY! You wont be sorry!
